Overview of activities:

(1) JUN 8 - 7:30 AM - Please let Mike know if you can volunteer at the joint street cleanup we are doing with the other Arvada service clubs.  We start at 7:30 am with breakfast at Indian Tree Golf Course at 9 am.  Let Mike know if you want to do the section on 64th, 72nd, or 80th (or if you're flexible).  

Mike also has the details if you have questions.  Even if you can't make the street cleanup, you're welcome to join us for breakfast

(2) JUN 15 - Grant writing qualification training to be held in person on June 15 in the morning at Front Range Community College. This is an annual requirement for at least one person from the club to attend in order to qualify for writing grants. No charge but you must register at the District website: Rotary5450.org

(3) JUN 18 - 5:30 PM - ASR is hosting a Baby Shower for Sasha (baby name: Henry Edward Ballard) at Heidi's House on June 18 at 5:30 pm. All are welcome to attend. We will grill hamburgers and hot dogs. Bring a side. (6) SCOPE - On Sunday, June 2, Arvada Sunrise Rotary boxed up and transported over 2200 books donated from “Whale of a Sale”. Eventually, these will be shipped to support growth of children’s library’s built in Kenya as part of project SCOPE. See pictures above.

(7) Looking for Denim - 100% Cotton - any color for Sole Hope Grant. ASR is teaming up with Arvada Rotary Broomfield Crossing Rotary and Flatiron Rotary for Sole Hope Grant, Our club's commitment is $1000 Cash and $2200 in DDF - the grant should be in-between 6-7k. We are hoping to cut out 1000 pairs of shoes... 400 are already completed

(8) Art Grant: Submitting final report to close the Art Grant for North Arvada Middle School.  They were able to purchase Digital Camera, Pottery Wheels and Display Cases

(5) OCT 19 - Rotary District 5450 15th Annual WASH Symposium - Save the Date Oct 19th - Speaker : William Kamkwamba -  Inspired by a science book, 13-year-old William Kamkwamba builds a wind turbine to save his Malawian village from famine. Based on a true story.

(6) Calgary 2025 - Rotary International Convention June 21-25, 2025! Heidi is going next year if anyone else would like to attend
