Scott Levin - Mountain States Regional Director

Anti-Defamation League

Mar 08, 2022 7:10 AM

Scott L. Levin, Esq., is the Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League, a position he assumed at the end of 2010 after retiring from over 28 years as a trial attorney.  Scott was among those top attorneys in Colorado designated as “Superlawyers.”  Scott gave up the practice of law and assumed this new position in order to pursue his passion for fighting hate and bigotry.  Scott is a frequent speaker and writer on civil rights issues.  He has authored many articles and testified numerous times before the Colorado Legislature on issues of equality, diversity, inclusion and educational opportunities for all.  Scott is an ardent advocate for ADL's anti-bias and inclusiveness education campaign, No Place for Hate®.  He also works with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure the prosecution of hate crimes. Scott has been an active volunteer in the community at large.  Prior to becoming part of ADL's professional staff, he was a member of its Board of Directors and the recipient of its 2010 Torch of Liberty Award.  From 2002 to 2010, Scott was also a member of the Board of Trustees of Rose Community Foundation, a large public community foundation.  He served as the Chair of its Board from 2008 to 2010, and is currently a member of its Child and Family Development Committee.  Scott is also a member of the Community Leadership Board of Mile High Montessori, an organization providing subsidized early childhood education to disadvantaged children in Denver, as well as the Community Forum Board of Wells Fargo Bank Denver.  Throughout his professional life, Scott has served on a numerous other boards, often in leadership capacities.  In 2012, Scott's dedication to justice and fair treatment for all was recognized by the NEWSED Community Development Corporation when he received a Civil Rights Award at its 21st Annual Civil Rights Award Dinner. Raised in Denver, Colorado, Scott was a 1979 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1982.
